Another old piece comes out of mothballs, thanks to my old friend Darragh Morgan. First Steps was written in 2006 to celebrate the marriage of Christopher Fox and Susan McNally (much missed, as Darragh says). I revised it in 2014 and have been a bit hesitant to put it out there, but this is such a beautiful performance I couldn’t not share.
It’s from a recital given as part of the 2020 CoMA Summer School, which was held online.
